I'm running Gregorio 6.0.0 on a fresh install of TeXLive (20210815) and getting inconsistent results on the attached files.

The first time I run lualatex on these files, the output is correct; but if I repeat the lualatex command without deleting *aux files, the following results change:

(1) The content of the .gaux file changes, though its size remains the same.
(2) The linebreaking changes slightly.
(3) A spurious clef is added at the end of a line.

Normal output:

Changed output:

I wish I could have made the example smaller and simpler, but I found that I could not demonstrate the behavior when anything was changed in the GABC file.

Note: Gregorio 5.2.1 gives me the same result.

Thanks to anyone who would like to run a test and reproduce the behavior on their own installation.

I’ve seen stuff like this, too. Wish I understood the underlying logic well enough to try to improve it.

This is a very old bug but it seems nobody is working on that one...

My workaround:

Delete all the auxiliary files (*.aux *.gaux *.gtex and so on) and recompile the main TeX-file. (The bug appears if the custos has a b-flat bevore it).
