Hello everyone,
as I typeset in indesign, I always use the strategy of main-no-margin.tex to eliminate the margins. I have two persistent issues with that :
  • the pdf is cut horizontally after the last (::) or note. If the score has only one line, the staff lines are cut off, and the final PDFs have individual with, which make them a pain to implement in indesign and ugly, because they are not as wide as other scores. The only workaround I found was to open each concerned pdf in Illustrator and change the width of the document manually. Is there an easier way ?
  • As I am working much with NABC scores, often the neumes in the first line are cut of on top by the cropping. How to prevent this
Thank you very much !

On Linux, the pdfcrop command does just that.

=> compile normally (using documentclass article and geometry as usual) with the desired page width and a very large page height (as large as you need to fit any score on a single page)
=> pdfcrop pdf_with_borders.pdf pdf_without_borders.pdf

In any case, it is scriptable (even on windows because it can be accessed from Powershell) for mass compilation.
