This is something definitive.

No, the car didn't clash with any iron post (also look up: <https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10225557286264169&id=1387786704>).

That's just a story spun by the police - under the new DGP installed by the Election Commission (ref.: <https://www.thehindu.com/news/cities/kolkata/mamata-banerjee-is-under-threat-due-to-abrupt-removal-of-state-dgp-tmc-says-in-complaint-to-ec/article34043341.ece>), in effect, endorsed by the  EC: <<The cops say that she sustained the injury when her car hit a small iron pole. Banerjee who was waiving to her supporters with the car door open sustained injuries after the door abruptly shut as a result of the impact.>>

Banerjee was, quite visibly, mobbed - during a road-show, or sort of.

Looks like, pushed into the vehicle.

The door is, apparently, slammed on her (leg).

Maybe she had a fall as well while being mobbed.

The two video testimonies tweeted by the ANI - picked up by various media outlets as eyewitness accounts, are, patently, false.

*In conclusion*:

It's not, as yet, known specifically whether she was deliberately pushed, or pulled, by "some".

It can, right at this stage, be neither categorically confirmed nor ruled out.

But we know the following, for sure:

I. The police circulated a grossly false story (based on investigations!) - the car had hit an iron post, aided by the godi media.

2. The testimonies of two "eyewitnesses" - propagated by media outlets, are also patently false.

3. So are the claims of orchestrated drama.

4. The DGP of the state, in the run-up to this incident, had been suddenly changed by the EC - which has lost all credibility especially in the light of how one of its dissenting members, out of total three, was brusquely ignored, then harassed and intimidated and, eventually, shown the door - for dissenting. 

5. There was no sign of crowd management - the job of the police.

All these taken together, one can hardly be blamed for smelling "conspiracy".
