Aadhaar Act case pending before 7-judge bench

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने जजों के कक्ष में आधार कानून कि समीक्षा याचिकाओं पर विचार कर बहुमत से 11 जनवरी 2021 को खारिज कर दिया था। वर्तमान मुख्य न्यायाधीश डॉ. धनंजय चंद्रचूड़ ने 4 जजों के उस आदेश से असहमति जताई। एक अलग आदेश में 5 जजों के फैसले के हवाले से बताया कि मामला 7 जजों के समक्ष लंबित है। प्रधानमंत्री ने राष्ट्रपति के अभिभाषण पर बोलते समय जो वक्तव्य दिया उसमे आधार के संबंध मे भ्रामक तथ्य पेश किया। 

Supreme Court considered the Aadhaar Act related review petitions in the judges' chamber and dismissed them on 11 January, 2021 by a majority order. The present Chief Justice Dr. Dhananjay Chandrachud disagreed with the order of the 4- judges. In a separate order, he referred to a decision of a 5-judge bench according to which the matter is pending before a 7-judge bench. In his reply to the President's address, the Prime Minister did not present the factual position with regard to Aadhaar.
