"Modi Hai To Mumkin Hai!"

Kya Mumkin Hai?
Modi Ji Ko Pata.
Woh Jo Karenge Wohi Mumkin Hai.

Complete suspension of reason.

How does it happen???
Do we even have the faintest idea?
Do we even feel like exploring??
Are we even aware of this huge gap in our knowledge???

Please do watch the video carefully.

The stock answer of a Modi-supporter in justification of the support is that whatever He, i.e. Modi, does is good for us -- no matter what he does. In fact, no need to know what's being done.
And they're too many.

Dear Mr Vatwani,

Thanks a lot for your thoughtful intervention.
Yeah. Humans are humans and of myriad types.

It's nice that you recalled an iconic song from a long bygone era, which, rightly or wrongly, used to be identified as "Nehruvian".
There was, of course, so much angst. Apart from grinding poverty even the bestial barbarities of the Partition on a humongous scale was not fully behind us. Yet, there was also hope in the air -- "hope" of an elevating kind. It's this hope that did underlie Nehru's legendary lyrical "Tryst with Destiny" speech even while pretty much acknowledging the obtaining harsh realities. My exposure to Hirdu is very much perfunctory. Still, yet another song comes to my mind from that nearly forgotten era: <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7bNULRlWh1k>. And yet another: <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGrXizYFEjI>.
The commercial Hindi cinema no longer offers such fare. Times have changed. That the times have changed is arguably best captured in that the chair once adorned by the author of Discovery [or Invention?] of India is to day occupied by a "Laoda Ne Bhojyam" guy (ref.: <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ug5RIt4r5oc>), who also happens to be the solitary one on this planet to have an academic degree in "Entire Political Science" (ref.: <https://images.app.goo.gl/XRjCS1VrF89p7Utp7>).
Not that earlier people were all rational. Of course, that was not the case. But the near-complete suspension of "reason" on the part of a very large bulk, and that too in the chest-thumping mode, is apparently one of the markers of the changing times.

Of course, the resistance is on.
And no matter what comes out of the counting rooms, giving up is just no option.

Thanks again.

Dear Senji,

In all elections and in democracy, the change in society is always marginal. Forget India, look at the US. It was not that Biden won with a thumping majority last time, or, assuming he wins again, will romp home again. It was and shall remain a wafer thin majority. It is the responsibility of secular parties and secular people, such as us, to keep plugging away.

Paradoxically, the attitudes and mindsets described in this video are not unique. They are human. Because the human mind as an entity is never an all-white or all-black entity. There were, are and shall remain, shades of grey. The error is in the minds of the viewers who either totally justify the views of this video or shun them in their entirety.

The mature individuals / parties continue to fight the good fight. Plough to the shoulder, till to the ground, they continue...

Citing a case in point. The heart-rending oft-quoted almost-an-anthem Sahir Ludhianvi-Mukesh song 'Woh subah kabhi toh aayegi' was rendered in 1958. So 76 years ago there was angst in the human mind and society, and this angst has remained till date, and shall continue a further 76 years from now...

Our self-shouldered and self-proscribed responsibility is to believe in our self-chosen causes, which by the grace of a God above, I believe many amongst us are doing. A big salute and Kudos to that.

Regards and Respects.
