Invasion of Ukraine and Miraculous Resistance: Renewed Nuclear Sabre Rattling: Why???

Evidently, the intended effect of the nuclear sabre rattling has, now, started fading out, as is captured by the NATO push (ref.: <https://foreignpolicy.com/2022/04/15/tanks-heavy-weapons-ukraine-russia-nato-putin-offensive/>) for delivery of heavy weapons to Ukraine - overcoming the initial hesitations that held for roughly one and a half months since the launch of the massive and brutal invasion.

Hence, the renewed need to go for the rattle.

But, to be sure, it's a risky business, in fact all too risky.

<<Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has warned that the conflict in Ukraine risked escalating into a third world war and that NATO was “in essence” engaged in a proxy war with Moscow by supplying Kyiv with weapons.

In a wide-ranging interview broadcast on state television on Monday, Lavrov said the risk of a nuclear conflict must not be underestimated and that the core of any agreement to end the conflict in Ukraine would depend largely on the military situation on the ground.>>
