Dr. T.K. RAMACHANDRAN, Writer, critic and strong defender of cultural freedom  in kerala   expired at a private hospital in kochi last night (21/07/08). His cremation will  took place at kochi crematorium this evening.he was 59
Dr.  RAMACHANDRAN was a centre figure in the cultural circle of kerala and was the patron of movement called secular collective.
his role in exposing sangh parivar in Gujarat genocide was very prominent.
He took very bold stand to support many other causes for secular and cultural freedom.
Dr. ramachandran was in the forefront of protests when Anand Patwardhan's documentary film Ram Ke Naam banned in Malappuram district of  Kerala.
he fighted against the move of some cultural leaders and poets to whitewash RSS.
his words and deeds provoked hindutwa forces and they counted him as a enemy of bharat matha!!
Mr.Ramachandran was a great interesting  teacher and he wrote 11 books.

The sudden demise of Dr.TK is certainly a big loss to all who fight
for secular and egalitarian values. To miss him just in his pre-
sixties is unfortunate, and one wishes he could be with us for a
little longer.
