Of course, the regime is just hellbent on muffling any discussion on the raging Adani scam in the parliament (and also outside).

That actually provides a strong clue as to the depth and extent of Modi's involvement in it.

However, the implications of the latest move (also ref.: <https://www.livemint.com/news/india/congress-oppn-to-march-to-vijay-chowk-tomorrow-in-protest-against-rahul-gandhi-s-conviction/amp-11679590818255.html>) and the methodology -- the all-too-obvious manipulation, in the instant case, of the judicial mechanism at its lowest level -- being followed to debar Rahul Gandhi from the parliament and contesting the 2024 poll are, arguably, even way more profound. It clearly amounts to a very major push towards a Putinist model of ("opposition-mukt") "democracy".

The issue right now is are we ready to respond???

Would at least the higher judiciary act in an appropriate manner???

Both are very vital questions.
