Hi Friends,

Many of us must already be aware.

We, of course, stand unequivocally for academic freedom, in particular, and, freedom of thoughts in general.
Here's an initiative by some academics, freedom of by leveraging their social status as the perks that go with the profession, to bolster the image of Modi in the public mind. 
Not too difficult to legitimise it using the banner of "freedom".

Many of us, however, are engaged in pushing back the systematic and systemic drive of the Modi regime to strangulate academic freedom and, in fact, all entities that tend to offer some space for critical independent thinking.
Even more than a century old Indian Science Congress has this time been refused customary financial patronage, understandably its very lifeline, despite it conducting itself in utterly obsequious manner in the recent years.

So, just placing it on the table.
