Congress Spokesperson Pavan Khera abducted/arrested by Delhi+Assam Police from a plane: Supreme Court Grants Bail

<<The Supreme Court will hear at 3 pm a plea by Congress leader Pawan Khera asking for consolidation of FIRs against him and also protective orders. Senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi mentioned the matter before chief justice DY Chandrachud, who said the matter would be heard after the constitution bench finishes its day hearing in the Sena v Sena case. This comes after hours of drama at Delhi airport involving police from the national capital and Assam. "Assam police is arresting Pawan Khera. Randeep Singh Surjewala is going (with) him. This is the same Assam Police which do not take any action against atrocities. I want to ask what was the reason for this detainment. If this is not dictatorship, then what is?" Congress leader Supriya Shrinate said.>>

<<The Supreme Court on Thursday granted interim bail to Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera, booked by the Uttar Pradesh and Assam Police for botching up the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a press conference.

The order was passed by a bench of Chief Justice of India (CJI) DY Chandrachud and Justices PS Narasimha and MR Shah on a plea that Khera moved in the Supreme Court immediately after he was arrested by the Assam Police from the Delhi airport on Thursday.>>
