The main problem with our education system is that it produces more competitive individuals than those with social sensibilities. Both life and work of any individual do not proceed without cooperation, mutual understanding, compassion and patience with each other. Our education system does not teach these basic principles. Therefore, life itself will have to teach them these values. The most educated person will have to re-educate himself or herself when he or she enters the arena of life or work. Some of our educational institutions and some of our teachers feel proud of their involvement in inculcating `critical thinking' among their students. But `critical thinking' without `social responsibility' is like wearing an underwear without a string or elastic !
