Sathyamurthy is a great revolutionary poet who inspired lakhs of youth towards naxalite movement and Dalit movement,(poets and friends calls him as Indian Gorky, referring him as maxim Gorky the author of The Mother Novel)  and he is one of founder or CPI (ML) peoples war, present Maoist party and he was the central committee secretary for this party in its early times in 1980’s
