Shah's clearly implying that only Muslims would be identified as infiltrators, everybody else would be counted as Indian citizens under the CAB/CAA.

Even that's a lie.
The very "chronology", as trumpeted by Shah himself, clearly underlines that.
One has got to be registered as a citizen under the CAA, *before* the NRC process starts.

That's precisely why the regime is opting not to spell out the procedures and necessary/sufficient "documents" for the CAA and the NRC.

*If in case of the NRC, the required document is the birth certificate of the concerned person, (far?) more than half the Indians would lose citizenship and turn stateless*.

That's why, on the face of it, the intention is to leave the determination entirely to the whims and fancies of the local Registrars, who, in turn, would, in all likelihood, be vulnerable to pressures from above.

Better, there should be a flood of such applications.
Of course, for one holding a postgraduate degree in 'Entire Political Science' (ref.: <https://www.dailyo.in/politics/modi-fake-degree-row-aap-kejriwal-amit-shah-gujarat-university/story/1/10514.html>) - a unique achievement in India and, maybe, in the whole world, it's hardly any job.
