Eventually - after two days, the High Court order is executed - by way of releasing the three students from the Tihar jail, as the HC, on being approached, takes up, pretty strongly, the issue of non-compliance of its order.

Ref.:

<<The high court asked the trial court to decide with "promptitude" and "expedition" of the issue of release from jail of Jamia student Asif Iqbal Tanha and JNU students Devangana Kalita and Natasha Narwal, who were granted bail on June 15 in the Delhi riots case.

A bench of Justices Siddharth Mridul and A J Bhambhani asked the counsel for the accused and the Delhi Police to jointly mention the matter before the trial court at noon. The trial court order came soon after. *The high court said it will again take up the matter at 3:30 PM* [emphasis added].

Reacting to the court ruling, Pinja Tod said, "We welcome the decision of the Delhi Sessions Court to grant the release warrant for Devangana, Natasha and Asif. This comes two days after they were granted bail by the Delhi High Court. We hope to see them released by today."

"*We have also seen how the Delhi Police has tried to delay the release of the three student activists by asking for up to 6 days for the verification of sureties and permanent addresses* [emphasis added]," it added.>>
