Rahul Gandhi-led Congress formally sanctifies today a radical departure from its traditional stance till now.
It's a big gamble no doubt.
But, the party under Rahul now appears to be all set to go all the way, come what may.
Along with the caste census, he talked of economic survey too.
Modi looks badly rattled.
As a counter, during the poll campaign, he's talking of delimitation of constituencies -- that too from the soil of South India which is strongly opposed to the idea -- based on new census.
As of now, no one knows when that's going to happen and the present configuration of the constituencies would remain intact till 2026 at least.
So, delimitation by itself can hardly be any issue for the coming polls.
Yet, he has opted to underline his determination to do delimitation and oppose caste census (by whatever means?) -- which a large majority is expected to eagerly welcome.
Is he losing his otherwise sharp political sense!!!?
