I. What it's not:
It is not, repeat not, about EVM or EVM hacking.
The (silly?) din over EVM, as it appears now, in fact provided a cover to the mega loot now unearthed in a very big way by deflecting attention.
II. What it's about?
Here is Rahul Gandhi himself explaining, in a short 8-minute capsule, what has been done, its background and why only one assembly constituency had to be picked up for analysis: <

III. What it is?
IV. A Sample Onsite Check
A single room (or a 10'×10' hovel?) having 80 voters of whom not one lives there. Quite a few are from distant states.
(This channel is known to be strongly pro-Modi. Yet...!
That has its own implications.)
V. How the (print) media is managed?
VI. Rahul Gandhi's Challenge
VII. Points to Note:
AA. In spite of such earthshaking allegations so loudly and so forcefully made by Rahul Gandhi, the Election Commission of india -- a quasi-judicial and putatively "independent" body -- has as yet dared not file an FIR against Rahul Gandhi.
BB. The SIR, given this specific background, very much looks like yet
another attempt at distorting the voters' lists in an even more grotesque manner -- all over the land.
(And the ongoing drive against "Bangladeshis" appears to be just another piece in that larger jigsaw puzzle.)
CC. What we in fact direly need now is a Special Intensive Scrutiny of the voters' lists all across the country.
And, towards that, the ECI must immediately upload the digitalised complete voters' lists on its website.
DD. The role of India's justice dispensing mechanism in the unfolding saga has got to be keenly watched.
That's a big question mark.
EE. Conscientising the general public must therefore go full steam ahead.
Universal adult voting right is a major contribution of the Indian Constitution that was penned and adopted on attainment of Independence.
That (most?) major pillar of India's electoral democracy is now in the process of being dismantled!
