Instead of functioning as watchdog it has turned into an attack dog.

The object is to make the leaders, instead of focusing on the issues, divert their attention to the FIRs and the further actions - arrests etc., slated to follow.
The regime would, of course, take this opportunity to disband the camps - at least go for it.
That's the very project.
The only escape route is to successfully integrate the two - the ongoing struggle and the resistance against the oncoming repression.
It'd call for larger and larger mass mobilisation.
Quite hearteningly, that's what appears to be happening.
Has to keep gathering more and more momentum.
