Dear Friend,
To honour the memory of Shri Anil Chaudhary — one of the founding members of PEACE and a guiding force in the social justice and development landscape — we invite you to attend the 1st Anil Chaudhary Memorial Lecture on the evening of 5th June 2025, which also marks his 75th birthday.
This annual lecture series has been initiated by APMDD, Bhoomi Adhikar Andolan, DARSHAN, CAAJ, CNDP, INSAF, Nation for Farmers, NHF, PCSDS, PEACE, and other like-minded groups closely associated with Anil Chaudhary’s lifelong work and vision. It aims to engage critically with the pressing social, economic, and environmental issues that were central to his life’s mission.
We are honoured to have P. Sainath, senior journalist and long-time friend of Anil Chaudhary, deliver the inaugural lecture titled “The Colour of Water: Inequality and a Fast Vanishing Natural Resource.” The talk will address the growing disparity in access to and control over essential natural resources, with a particular focus on water.
