This is a reminder that CRI is hosting a free webinar this Thursday, at 9 am, on Single-stream recycling economic and environmental costs, contamination levels and the amount that is actually recycled, and news from the UK on recent procurements and curbside sorting.

I've just seen a preview of the slides from the UK, and found them to be really interesting! The presentation by Andy Bond will explain how the European Waste Framework directive affects recycling policy in the UK, which may be an ongoing legal battle. The presentation will also explain how price differentials for high quality recyclables drive the collection decisions and which materials are exported. They are also rapidly expanding food waste collection and alternate weekly collection…..
