We developed 3 sandwich board signs with info boxes to help with outreach for this project and we’d like to have a few more of them.
Is there a volunteer out there who could help us perfect the prototype and produce maybe another 6 of them?
Also could use a volunteer to be in charge of rotating the signs around to the list of locations we’ve identified and keeping the boxes stocked with current information sheets.
These are important jobs for the project and are things you could do independently.
Let us know. Thanks.

This is a great response.
We have Bob agreeing to help stock them / circulate them around, Al willing to build them, and Daniel stepping up to help develop the design.
Excellent.
Next Wed morning at the Steering Committee Meeting at 7:30AM at the Greenwood Neighborhood Service Center next to Romio’s at 8415 Greenwood Ave N, the focus topic will be outreach and communications. We can make the sandwich board info box signs a topic in that discussion. Anyone that is interested in being at that meeting or any meetings announced here, please feel welcome. We’ll post after the meeting with detailed info about moving forward with the sandwich board projects for anyone who is not at the meetings.
Thank you for stepping up to help.

Annette brings up some good questions.
Most people have probably seen our sandwich board prototypes (3 so far). We’re going to have a few more thanks to everybody stepping up.
The question is: What information would you / do you want to find inside as far as brochure content?
The brochure could maybe answer to the top neighborhood questions. Also, as we add content to the website www.greenwood.streetscapes.org we want to get the top questions answered up front so that folks can get what they need in the way of project information without hunting for it.
What are the top questions?
How much are sidewalks going to cost?
What are the payment options?
How long will this take?
Don’t hesitate to weigh in here with what your opinion is because we need to directly address people’s questions with this project.
I think we can keep our slogan going ...got sidewalks?.... and keep putting the photos (neighborhood folks in front of the spot where their future sidewalk and walkable streetscapes will be). I’d like to step up this effort to have a nice gallery of photos to use.
So far we have Jim & his dog up on Dayton Ave N

And Hellene, Liz & Charlie with their dog Buddy up on Evanston Ave N

Let me know if you’d like to have a photo of you and yours added to the gallery. Could use some folks on the west side of Greenwood.
I’m going to work on cost estimating for various schematic solutions so folks can know that up front. If there’s some contractors for sitework / pavement / planting out there to work on this with me I’d appreciate it.
Submitting invoices and getting consultants paid on this project is a steep learning curve, Annette. I think FeetFirst mailed checks on Tuesday? Lisa?
I hope Invoice #2 goes along smoother. Any accountants out there to pitch in would be great on this part of the project.
Thanks.
