Subject: Fw: Addresses for City Official "Deciders" on City of
Seattle Budget for Linden Avenue North
Linden Avenue North Complete Streets Project for 2011-12
Dear Friend,
Mayor McGinn has placed 12 million dollars in a capital improvement budget
to complete construction of Linden Avenue North as a
"complete" street.
An Avenue with gutters, drains, strong curbs, planting strips or
swales (for natural drainage), wide sidewalks and pedestrian oriented
street lighting.
Creative attention will be give to bike lanes that connect the Interurban
Trail from North 128th Street to The City of Shoreline (Shoreline has finished
their three miles of the Interurban Greenway Trail, which extends north to the
City of Everett!).
,
Please urge the City of Seattle Councilmembers to approve this budget for
Linden Avenue North.
Please contact them before November 16th.
Please thank the Mayor for his forward thinking and action to connect
The Bitter Lake Hub Urban Village to the Emerald City by walking,
wheelchairing, scootering and biking; my little Poodle Dog Pippa and I
will encourage expressive dancing as soon as the Project is
completed.
If you cannot contact all Councilmembers, please contact Jean Godden who is
chair of the Budget Committee.
With Warmest Regards,
