I do agree. What block are you on? We can probably take on one more block study area if you're not in one already.
Even if you're not a block moving forward right now with a Block Study, there's always a way to get the first steps going organizing your block for streetscape projects. It involves a commitment to gaining an understanding of the right of way and neighborly communication about it to folks across the street and alley. Block progress toward walkable streetscapes will be expeditied if everyone becomes fluent in right of way terminology and information. The FAQ and draft guide steps help out there quite a bit. They're Google Docs under the documents tab.
We can make field calls to work with you and your nieghbors to further understand the right of way or you can lead your own block with some tape measures and something to mark a line.
Please encourage your neighbors to join the google group to get in the communications loop. Eventually the guide will be on the website. For now:
