Regarding option of online election

Dear all

With reference to the upcoming election at the AGM of the GWNAOA, flat owners interested in participating through online ballot may please send the following email to the FM email ID. In this treacherous weather, it is only justified that non resident flat owners be allowed to not travel all the way to our complex for the election.

Please copy and pate the following mail and send it as a new mail.

Dear Sirs,

 

                           Sub :   Election of B.O.M. 2024  –  Request for online voting.

                           Ref  :   Your Notice Dated 20^th April, 2024 regarding Election.

 

Reference above, wherein you have notified the Election of 2024 to the Board of Managers of Greenwood Nook Apartment Owners Association, to be held on 5^th May, 2024, we, the undersigned flat owners request your good selves to kindly arrange for the facility of online voting in the instant election, so that all member flat owners can conveniently and comfortably vote for and choose Board Managers of their choice.

 

Kindly note that besides the prevailing heat wave condition, many member flat owners are now senior citizens/ very senior citizens  ;  while many other member flat owners are now based outside Greenwood Nook, outside the state, and even outside the country. It would be almost impossible -  for most of them to be physically present to vote in the election. But it is these Good Samaritans who regularly clear their monthly maintenance charges in time, which enables the BOMs to maintain our property of Greenwood Nook smoothly. Therefore it is of prime importance  -  in fact a moral responsibility  -  that they are not deprived of the opportunity to vote/choose for the BOMs of their choice.

 

Kindly also note that at least two residential complexes of Kolkata [ Rosedale Garden  &  South City ] have already implemented online voting in the recent past for their BOM elections ; and Hon’ble Kolkata High Court has upheld/approved such online voting in both cases.

 

We therefore request your good selves and your good offices to kindly arrange for online voting in BOM election 2024 not only to offer convenience and comfort to all flatowners, but also so that result of the election would be reflective of the opinion of maximum majority.
