Fw: Crossing Guard Vacancies

At the last GPG-LHG meeting I mentioned the acute need for more crossing guards for schools - in the last year SPS has lost many, and they never had enough to cover all the needed locations..

If anyone would like to be paid for a few hours of work a day, or knows anyone who would be interested, please get the word out.

Here is the brochure for the crossing guards. The current wage is $16.69 an hour. The post times are 7:10-8:10 / 1:55-2:55 (Wednesdays Only 12:40-1:40) for early start times and 8:10-9:10 / 2:55-3:55 (Wednesdays Only 1:40-2:40) for later start times. Paid 1 hour for morning an 1 hour for afternoon = 10 hours a week. Wednesdays are 75min early release times, that is why the times are different. Fingerprinting for background check cost is $45.25.  There is paid training.  They can email or call the number on the brochure to sign up. I’m taking applications now. Open locations depend what elementary schools they live near and if there are any opening near there. Sorry this is late getting to you had a death in family and have been out of town.
