Participants and volunteers needed for Disaster Relief Trials Seattle 2026!
Did you know that bicycles can be effective tools for emergency response? Join fellow cyclists and resilience-focused organizations on Saturday, July 25 to demonstrate the utility of bicycles in disasters!
Disaster Relief Trials are fun, educational events that showcase the ability of cyclists to use cargo bikes, bicycles, and trailers to carry out important disaster tasks, such as supply distribution, information exchange, and safe and well checks. Learn how to use your bike to help your neighbors!
The Disaster Relief Trials Seattle 2026 event will take pace on Saturday, July 25, starting and ending at Cal Anderson Park in Capitol Hill. Disaster Relief Trials Seattle 2026 is organized by a team comprising the Disaster Relief Trials nonprofit as well as researchers from the University of Washington, Oklahoma State University, and the University of Virginia. Local supporters include Seattle Streets Alliance, the UW Center for Disaster Resilient Communities, Seattle Emergency Hubs, Basilica Bio, Cascade Bicycle Club, Seattle Auxiliary Communications Service, Byrd Barr Place Market, Beacon Food Forest, and Cal Anderson Park Alliance.
