Below is an email re some unwanted spam ... it's infesting many of the google groups in north Seatttle.

The managers of any group have a couple of options.

Under "Group Settings" there are many settings choices,  including an assortment of "posting polices".

Inder that among other choices, one can select the level of moderation, and separately, the level of moderation for new members.

Everyone - We have been getting similar emails in the LCNA feed and I was told about another group that has also received them.  I will check to see if this person is on the LCNA list and remove them.  We have sent many messages about not abusing our Google groups with requests for financial help or gain.  I also will reach out to those who first set up this Greenway group to find out who is owner or manager of the group so this kind of message can be removed and the sender either removed or monitored.
