Last night there was another Aurora fatality - this one at N. 46th   https://spdblotter.seattle.gov/2021/09/10/police-pursue-arrest-wallingford-vehicular-homicide-suspect/

I'm attaching 2 SDOT traffic speed studies at points along Aurora, one at 112th and one at 68th adjacent to Green Lake Park (where a jogger was hit in 2020 and a rollover occurred a few days ago) ... they were each only recorded a couple of days ...  it's amazing how many were driving over 70 MPH ... even 80 mph ... notitce the max. speed on each case was close to 90 MPH
Seattle Police Officers and Washington State Troopers pursued a North Seattle vehicular homicide suspect to Federal Way, where they arrested the man early Friday morning. Ten minutes before midnight, motorists driving northbound on Aurora Avenue North called to report the driver of a pick up truck had struck a pedestrian near North 46th Street and […]

Just remember that the last thing we went is that anyone should be subject to the possibility of disparate enforcement So skip enforcement altogether to avoid that risk and problem  If you don’t think that is where SDOT is going, you should have listened to SDOT at the last Pedestrian Advisory Board meeting night before last.  Transportation Choices Coalition, which has never put any of its ballot campaigns through an “equity lens," has jumped on the bandwagon, of course.

At least this absolute horror of enforcement is symmetrical in every direction. No enforcement of DR 2015 - 10 (sidewalk access at construction zones). Or the sidewalk vegetation ordinance. Or A-frame signs on sidewalks. Or car parking on sidewalks. No enforcement against SDOT’s own rented scooters being ridden and parked everywhere on sidewalks.

It’s the Wild West, baby.  Love it, leave it, or shut up.
