New probationary officer to be sworn in - GP

The Greenwich Police Department has hired a new probationary officer.
Gregory J. Parrillo will be sworn in to his new position at the
Selectman's Office in Town Hall at 2 p.m. on Monday, April 12. Family
and friends of the new officer have been invited to attend.

Mr. Parrillo will be required to complete an 18-month probationary
period commencing April 12.

Mr. Parillo's biography:

Gregory J. Parrillo resides in Cumberland, RI.

He is a graduate of Cumberland High School.

He has a BA in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Quinnipiac

University where he graduated in May 2009.

He is certified as an Emergency Medical Technician and prior to
becoming a police officer he was working as an EMT in Rhode Island. He
did a student internship at the Bridgeport office of Adult Probation
in 2008.

He was a Senate Page at the Rhode Island State House in the summer of
2006.
