Do you ever walk places in Humboldt County?  Or want to walk some places but can't?  This is your chance to influence plans for sidewalks, trails, land use, and streets laid out in the 2008 Humboldt County Pedestrian Needs Assessment Study

The Humboldt County Association of Governments (HCAOG) is sponsoring two community workshops at the Humboldt County Office of Education Building in Eureka on May 21, 2008.

The purpose of these workshops is for a diversity of groups and individuals to identify necessary actions for improving pedestrian safety that local governments as well as community organizations can take, separately and together, toward this interest.

The workshops will be held:

Wednesday, May 21, 2008, Humboldt County Office of Education (901 Myrtle Ave, Eureka) Sequoia A Room
  • Stakeholder Workshop: 1:00- 4:00pm
  • Public Workshop: 5:30 - 8:00pm
Light refreshments will be served

If you cannot attend the workshops, but would like to provide input, please complete the Pedestrian Needs Assessment survey on www.hcaog.net.

You can view the last Pedestrian Needs Assessment document (2003), and current draft (2008) is at www.hcaog.net/docs
