Green Wheels meeting Thursday 7pm, Yoga for Bicyclists class September 29 and Historic Arcata Bottom Bike Tour October 14!

Hi Green Wheelers -

Fall is almost upon us and Green Wheels has lots of events coming right up! Green Wheels has teamed with Om Shala yoga studio to offer a Yoga for Bicyclists class on Saturday, September 29th from 4-6pm. This class and poses will be geared specifically for bicycling enthusiasts which promises to be a great opportunity! Please see the attached flyer and visit green-wheels.org for more information.

Also, save the date for the Historic Arcata Bottom Bike Tour on Sunday, October 14th from 2-5pm as Green Wheels and local historians lead a fun, guided group ride through the Bottom to learn about the regions diverse history. You won't want to miss this ride as last year's Arcata Wetland Restoration Bike Tour was a raging success. Stay tuned for more details.

And join us for the next Green Wheels meeting this Thursday, September 20th at 7pm in Arcata at the NEC office at 8th and N, the former Yakima building. Go behind the building to the doors at the SW corner of the building and look for signs to the NEC. We'll be planning for all these upcoming events and discussing current transportation issues. Hi again - 

As an update to the Yoga for Bicyclists class Saturday, September 29th there will be an informal group ride around town starting at 2pm from Om Shala before the class at 4pm.

If mountain biking is more your thing - Tim Daniels of Bigfoot Cycling Club is also offering an alternative mountain bike ride for Saturday before yoga. Strong intermediate to expert mountain bikers are invited to join. For more details, contact Tim at 707-668-1716.
