Hey Folks, Sorry so late on this. . .
Meeting Notes:
> Call in to Dynegy Energy Day, last Tuesday.
- We had a table in the Union to inform people on the coal plant and urging them to call Dynegy.
- Check out Sierra Clubs Campaign: www.cleanupdynegy.com
> March 18th: Rally at Capitol
- We will write up some pre-made letters with a message and our name and send them up with the rally on March 18th in Des Moines to Gov. Culver.
> American Marketing Association and Green Project UNI
- A plan brought up by Joe, a member of the AMA, to work with us for an event to collect goods (couches, tvs, etc.) at the end of the year and donate them to a thrift store.
- This will be a combined effort with both groups (if we are able to pursue it) to show unity among students for environmental change!
- We still need to plan this, if you are interested in helping, please be at the meeting Wednesday, March 5th!!! I believe go is planning to join us to discuss his ideas.
> Green Project UNI PSAs
- WE NEED VOLUNTEERS STILL. You would be helping to put together a video about recycling locations around town.
- I believe Emily from the UNI Cable system will meet with us tomorrow, so come share your ideas.
> Green Assembly
- This is a fun idea by Jana to join with some Education majors to put on an educational presentation for young kids around the community. We will need to contact schools and find out what needs to be done to make this happen. If you have ideas/suggestions let us know!
> Free Coffee??
- To promote reusable mugs. Use fair trade coffee from Roots, catered by UNI.
- We will probably do this on a Monday morning in mid-March, just before Spring Break, from times 7:45-10:00 or so.
- This will take money that can't come from NISG. Can someone check out the Pepsi Fund on the NISG page???
- We have some Roots money, but need to find out the price. Talk to catering...
> Earth Day planning in the future, which films to show, activities.
> Student Outreach: do you think we need to promote the group more. Maybe we should make more flyers? Make a party out of it...
- Does anyone have access to a button maker????

> Wednesday (Tomorrow) February 27 @ 7:00pm. McCollum Science Hall, 2nd Floor Lounge, outside of Lantz aud., next to the polar bear!!
> Friday, February 29 @ 3:00pm. The Vibe coffeehouse, above Bought Again Books on 23rd Street.
