Hello everyone,
It's that time of year again: the Purgatory Road Race is coming up, June 12th, 2011!
The main need is for marshals, who have the safety of the town and the racers at their hands. As a race volunteer you'll get proper equipment for your job, food and water when need and support from yours truly for anything else that can come up.
The event goes off at 8:00am and finishes up around 5:00pm for most, but will be split into multiple shifts. Please ask your family, friends coworkers and classmates to come help out, even if it's only for half of the day. The more people we have, the less of a burden it will be for everyone involved and the safer everyone will be.
Remember, as a Green Line Velo 2011 member you need to be available for this race.
Everyone volunteer (including GLV '11 members) should email mars...@greenlinevelo.com with their confirmation and any outside volunteers they can recruit as soon as possible.
The above email address be the contact point for any and all questions relating to scheduling, assignments, questions, etc.

I'm in for marshaling and should be able to round up at least 2 of my roommates, probably more. Will confirm with them and let you know.

Hell yea Mike! This is the kinda involvement that we need. Remember,
all the volunteers will be supplied with food and drink so don't worry
about starving on race day. Everyone needs to get their confirmed
comittment to Steve ASAP as he is concurrently assigning marshaling
positions. Since we would like there to be at least 2 people at every
marshalling position, be sure to get a friend/roomate/girlfriend/
boyfriend/wife/husband/sugar momma/mistress/intern involved with you
so you have someone to share the marshaling duties with at your
position.
