[GreenhouseEffect 366] Genetically modified organisms for geo engineering

I have seen almost nothing on the topic of GMOs to effect changes in
the climate and to correct the anthropogenic rise in temperatures.
There a lot of research on using GMOs to recycle biomass and
agricultural waste. Does anyone know of other possible solutions such
as bio bricks and synthetic biology?
