Hey Growers, if you're not yet getting the Hortidaily Newsletter, sign up for it today! It's great information on what's happening internationally in horticulture. Michiel's recent article was in it, I've had one of my twitter posts show up last year when we were skinning greenhouses and most recent, they even put in fun stuff! A photo I took of Michiel, Deb and I hamming it up for Movember.

It really is an interesting publication but also take note of how quickly your brand can get out to the world using social media, email subscriber lists, websites, etc. Back to that 'story stuff' I was talking about yesterday.

Something happens in your world and you think people will like it, Shout it out! With this photo as our point of interest, both Deb and I sent out FB and Twitter posts tagging all kinds of other organizations in order to get the attention of each certain audience. Example: on twitter tag @hortidaily, @_AGGA_ @fortsasklonline etc. Each one of these tweets or posts drew the attention of the people following. My tweet mentioning @fortsaskonline this morning, using the 'stache' photo, got me another mention on the morning radio show since they were already talking about Movember. They did it just for fun and just like that, my brand was in the public again. I know individually we both saw a lot of likes and comments centered around this quick and easy effort. Getting your brand out there doesn't always have to be telling about your next deal. Your followers like interesting and they will pass it on.

That reminds me: I saw a fellow in Ohio: Keynote speaker Alex Goldfayn. His topic was Evangelical Marketing and its all about the one to one contacts that you make are invaluable. More on this another time. Look him up. He aslo has a regular newsletter.
