To whoever dropped a letter addressed to Mr Skujins in our letterbox:

He does not live here nor has he done so for the past two years.  We have no association with him at all, have no forwarding details or any knowledge of this person.  Please desist in dropping letters of cowardly nature into our letterbox.

Regardless of our having nothing to do with the situation discussed, it is none of your business what someone does with their property and your focus should perhaps be in using your time for personal self development and on your affairs than worrying about those of others.

I agree that there is a potential health risk if children are playing in sewer overflow, but perhaps your time can be better spent informing the parents of the health risk so that they may warn their children, or the children themselves rather than wasting your time anonymously threatening people.

I am saddened at the seemingly cowardly, unfriendly and judgemental neighbours we seem to have on Yarrabee Rd. It is such a same that instead of a friendly conversation to gain understanding and community spirit amongst one another, the council or the police are called.

Difference is what makes us grow as a species.  Please take a moment to love your neighbour and reserve your judgement for it is in these people too that you can gain new insight and perspective on life and evolve.

I hope that with the new owners in Greenhill, together, we can breathe new life and community into the area and care about each other rather than being hell bent on tearing one another down.

- Vairi

Hi Alison, / Vairi (?)

We rent the Skujins house at 6 Hillside St, we occasionally still get their post, although they haven't lived here for at least seven years.

I'm not sure if we've received a copy of the missive that you mention yet, if it has only just been posted it may be in the mail box now, I can't wait to see whatever the snails leave us of it to read, although it sounds as if it may be that it's best left as snail food!!

-The Skujins now live in Singapore, and should you get anything else for them I suggest you treat it as out-of-date and unimportant to them, and do as we do and pop it in the recycling!

Best Regards,

Paul Davies.

Thank you Paul,

Alison is my first name, Vairi my middle but I've been called Vairi since the beginning.

I appreciate your response and will recycle :)  Yes, the snails will be happy.

Kind regards,

Vairi

Hi Vairi and Paul,

We also rent another property of the Skujins at 17 Yanagin Road.  Up until now I had been forwarding their mail to the property manager, but over the past 3 years have now grown tired of reminding them about mail redirection.  They skimp on property maintenance, so I see no reason to act as postmaster.

I think your advice about recycling is appropriate.

Admittedly I keep to myself pretty much and have only met two neighbours in 3 years – sadly past job experience has taught me to steer clear of neighbourhood politics.... but welcome to Greenhill Vairi.  I’m sorry to hear of the problems you’ve experienced.  I live with my two teenage children and lead a peaceful, but busy lifestyle.  If you ever feel like catching up for a coffee/tea/chat you’re most welcome.

Kind regards,

Stephen Carter
