The Friends of the Greenfield Public Library will hold their Fall Book
Sale on September 15, 16, and 17.
On Thursday evening, September 15, from 5:00 to 7:00pm, the Sale will
be open for Friends of the Library members only, but anyone who would
like to become a member of the Friends may do so that evening. Sale
hours on Friday, Sept. 16, are 10am to 5pm, and Sale hours on
Saturday, Sept. 17, are 9:30am to 12:30pm.
The Sale will be held in the stacks in the Library basement and is
open to everyone for those two days. Hardcover books will sell for
$2.00 each and paperbacks for $1.00 each. Children's books are
priceless - please pay what you think they are worth and remember that
the money is going to support the Library!
Customers love coming to our Sales because we have a variety of books
that are well-sorted and easy-to-find on the shelves. We have
knowledgeable volunteers to assist customers and a special bargain
book area where you can fill a grocery bag full of books for only
$2.00. What a deal!!!
The Friends' Book Sale is an important fundraiser for the Friends of
the Greenfield Public Library. The Sale raises money for Library
enrichment programs such as the Homebound Delivery Program, the Poets
Seat Poetry Contest, Adult Book Groups, and ALL of the Children's
Programs. The Book Sale provides an opportunity to stock up on winter
reading while helping the Friends of the Greenfield Public Library
continue to maintain the enrichment programs and services that make
our Library such a special place.
See you soon!
