Friends of the GPL Updates

The Friends Fall Event was a huge success. The live and silent
auction at Stoneleigh was very well attended and netted over
$10,000.00. Besides the auction other contributing factors were
business/patron donations, sponsorship and our raffle. Raffle winners
were 1st prize: Ralph Cassidy of Greenfield/2 tons of wood pellets,
2nd prize: Kelly Popoff of Greenfield/a small farm share and 3rd
prize: Ira Mitchell of Greenfield/a maple basket.

Holiday shopping at the library: Aprons and caps with library slogans-
great gifts for all those library lovers, also, the envirosax in bold
and brilliant patterns that make great stocking stuffers.

Also for holiday shopping there will be two Holiday Used Book Sales.
The first one will be held on Sat., Dec. 3rd from 10am until 4pm and
then on Sat., Dec. 10th from 9:30am until 12:30pm in the basement of
the library. These gently used books are great for gift giving and a
wonderful way to support the library. Hard covered books are $2.00 and
paperbacks are $1.00.
