Prize Description: This international Prize will be conferred biennially in recognition of outstanding research contributions in the field of Ecological Economics by scholars aged 45 or below. The Prize is being established by ISEE to honor pioneering intellectual contributions in the field of Ecological Economics, which is of critical importance today in global efforts to enhance human well-being and environmental sustainability, with social justice. He has previously published in Advances in International Marketing and International Trade Journal and contributed to national and international conference proceedings.
**Sridhar N. Ramaswami (Ph.D., The University of Texas at Austin) is Assistant Professor in the Department of Marketing at Iowa State University. His research interests include multinational marketing strategies, organizational adaptation and effectiveness, inter-organizational relations, and self-management behavior of marketing employees. He has previously published in International Journal of Research in Marketing and Technology Forecasting and Social Change, and contributed to national and international conference proceedings.
Aggarwal's current research interests include corporate governance, the economics of organizations, optimal capital structure, bankruptcy, executive compensation and incentives, initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, boards of directors, hedge fund performance evaluation, and fraud and stock market manipulation. His current teaching interests are in corporate finance and international finance.
Maya is a freshman intending to pursue a major in Economics and International Relations, with a minor in Modern Languages (Spanish & German). Passionate about international development and global civil society, Maya has worked around the world from the Aga Khan Development Network in Kenya to the World Food Programme in Italy to a policy think tank in Germany. She hopes to continue to engage in activities of economic development and health equity, while simultaneously fostering her passion for traveling and languages.
