Greetings Field Ambassadors,

As we wrap up another school year, I want to thank you for being such an important part of our educator community. Your creativity, curiosity, and commitment to inquiry-based learning continue to inspire us.

I have a small favor to ask. As your schools begin planning for Week Zero and back-to-school professional learning, please consider sharing the Field Museum with your principals, administrators, instructional coaches, or professional learning leaders. We would love the opportunity to partner with schools to provide engaging professional development experiences centered on inquiry, scientific sketching, object-based learning, community science, and student engagement.

Upcoming workshops:

In Celebration of Pollinator Week

Location: Field Museum | 1400 S Lake Shore Dr, Chicago, IL 60605

Summer Institute:
Description:  A 2-day event with an interdisciplinary approach where educators will explore how fossils hold clues for interpreting the past by engaging with inquiry and reflecting how art media can be used to to support what we know and what we do not.
Date: July 8-9, 2026
Time: Day 1- 9am-12pm Day 2- 8-10am
Location: Field Museum | 1400 S Lake Shore Dr, Chicago, IL 60605

All participants will receive CPDUs that correspond to the length of each workshop.

If you know someone at your school who may be interested in learning more about Week Zero opportunities, please feel free to connect us or encourage them to reach out. As always, thank you for being champions of inquiry, exploration, and meaningful learning.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you.

Warmly,
Moriah
