The Oregon GMO-labeling campaign is on!

Hi, all  - We are excited to say  "It's Official" - the Oregon "Right-to-Know" GMO-Labeling Initiative was just approved by the State, and ORA has jumped into the fray - and we invite you to join the party!  The deadline for getting signatures gathered and back to HQ is July 3rd, which puts a very tight window on our activities.  We hope to do outreach and signature gathering in Umatilla Co. - PFM, Walmart, etc.

Here are the details - please let us know whether or how you'd like to participate:

1.  Signature-gathering training #1:  tonight, Mon. May 19 at 5:30 pm at ORA office in LaGrande

2.  Signature gathering  - participate at an event or venue with staff or other gatherers; and/or gather signatures from family and friends at your leisure.  A variety of venues with staff support exist:  the MODA health fair, this Weds. 11-1pm;  Farmers' Markets; Chapter meetings; SolWest; Walmart; 

3.  Provide us names of venues, events, and/or potential volunteers to assist in the effort

4.  Purchase and wear an ORA t-shirt to help with the fund-raising and promotional efforts 

5.  Come to our next signature-gathering training - date and location to be determined - your community??

6.  Data-entry of names gathered

7. ETC.

This is a great way to build  and support for Homegrown Prosperity/ Main St. vs. Wall Street/ healthy soil and planet….
