ok, folks- any burning topics: Healthcare reform, politics, downtown plan activities, farmers market or local food issues? Backyard ckickens, Rivoli, LEEDS designed buildings, sustainability (and its matrices), buy-local campaigns, the RR subdistrict redevelopment, why I'm leaving town,  Art center needs, Pendleton Connect, KBLU progress..? 

 

We could watch a TED talk, or other film- could do that.

 

OR - we could make it my send-off party, since with  I'll soon be relocating to LaGrande, in which case, I request costumery! Come scared or scary!  Or choose one of the above , or the reason you chose to attend and  let the group know your ideas.

Hey folks I’m writing to say that things will be changing this year, in as yet unpredictable ways, as I’m leaving Pendleton to take a position with Oregon Rural Action, in LaGrande: http://oregonrural.org/- assuming I can find a place to live! I’m not sure what that will mean for my local food and related passions, but I hope to remain active or at least peripherally involved as Umatilla County is part of Oregon Rural Action’s service area. And because there's so much goodness going on!
My gratitude and respect for all your hard work is never ending! Will keep you posted. Now - what about Wednesday...?  Look at Prodigal Son's FB page and then say - It's Halloween, let's just go get scared and stupid at the 'Son just for fun.  We can be serious next month, play is good.  Costumes !!!

Hello Green Drinks Pendleton

Blue Mountain Land Trust (www.bmlt.org) is interested in presenting/meeting with like minded conservation groups and individuals in the Pendleton area.  I thought Green Drinks would be a good group and Prodigal Son a great venue.

We would like to meet sometime in May

I am unsure if the group still meets regularly, or who I need to contact.
