Ikatan Arsitek Indonesia-European Union Chapter (IAI-EU) dan Ikatan Arsitek Indonesia Jakarta (IAI Jakarta) mengundang rekan-rekan untuk hadir di acara 'Duo Lunch Lecture' pada hari Rabu, 7 November 2012, 12.00-13.30 WIB di Erasmus Huis. Jl HR Rasuna Said Kav. S-3, Jakarta

Public lecture akan diberikan oleh Kees Christiaanse (KCAP, ETH Zurich, Future Cities Lab NUS) dan Paul de Vroom (DKV Architecten), dan dimoderasi oleh Sigit Kusumawijaya.

Acara ini diadakan dalam konteks pameran 'The Dutch Way of Housing the Crowd' yang berlangsung sejak 18 Oktober 2012 di Erasmus Huis, Jakarta, yang juga merupakan rangkaian kegiatan Jakarta Architecture Triennale 2012.  Pameran ini dikurasi oleh Daliana Suryawinata dan Sigit Kusumawijaya.

Sedikit mengenai Kees Christiaanse dan Paul de Vroom:

Kees Christiaanse (b. 1953, Amsterdam) is a renowned architect and urban planner from the Netherlands. Kees has worked with Rem Koolhaas' architecture firm, OMA, where he was made a partner in 1983 at the age of 30, and worked for the firm until 1989. After working with Rem Koolhaas, he started two firms, Kees Christiaanse Architects & Planners (KCAP, in Rotterdam) in 1989 and Architects and Planners (ASTOC, in Cologne) in 1990. Kees has tackled some of the highest profile urban design schemes in the Netherlands, hosting buildings by the finest Dutch and several international architects. From 1996 to 2003 he was a professor of architecture and urban planning at the Technical University of Berlin, and is now the Chair of Architecture and Urbanism in the Institute for Urban Design at the ETH in Zürich. Christiaanse was the curator of the 4th International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam and his involvement with Indonesia began with the collaboration with Stephen Cairns, Daliana Suryawinata and Herlily on several Batam and Jakarta housing research and design projects: 'Open City Jakarta,' and 'Open City Batam'.

Paul de Vroom (b. 1953, The Hague) owns a well-established architecture firm DKV Architects in Rotterdam. In 1977 - 1983 he worked with Dolf Dobbelaar on various refurbishments. In 1981, he graduated with honours from the Architecture Faculty of TU Delft; his tutors included Rem Koolhaas, Stanislaus Von Moos and Rein Saariste. Between 1982 and 1984 he worked at OMA, Office for Metropolitan Architecture, Rotterdam. In 1984 he began his partnership with Dolf Dobbelaar and Herman de Kovel. Paul has exhibited and lectured worldwide.
