Job Summary
HHSC is looking for a senior-level ETL Developers to support the development of a healthcare data integration and analytics platform. The candidate will work on ETL development, data warehousing, Snowflake SQL development, Informatica integrations, and analytics solutions in an Agile environment.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in:
- Informatica PowerCenter / IICS
- Snowflake SQL

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ETL mappings and workflows using Informatica PowerCenter/IICS
- Design and develop complex Snowflake SQL scripts
- Integrate data from multiple sources including Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, and PDF files
- Build and maintain data warehouse and dimensional data models
- Develop automation processes for data acquisition and transformation
- Create database views and materialized views
- Support Tableau and business intelligence reporting systems
- Perform data validation, testing, and troubleshooting
- Participate in Agile sprint ceremonies and SDLC activities
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and business teams
- Prepare technical documentation, diagrams, and specifications
- Support healthcare performance management and analytics initiatives

Position Summary
Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a Systems Analyst 3 to work as part of a Data Engineering team responsible for developing and maintaining a Data Integration Hub used for analytics, reporting, and performance management.
The role focuses heavily on Data Engineering, ETL Development, Snowflake SQL, Informatica, and Data Warehousing rather than traditional systems analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, integrate, and transform data from multiple sources.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes using Informatica PowerCenter/IICS.
- Design and develop complex Snowflake SQL queries and scripts.
- Create and maintain dimensional data models, database views, and materialized views.
- Automate data acquisition and transformation processes.
- Perform data validation, testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and development activities.
- Produce technical documentation, diagrams, and specifications.
- Support production operations, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance of the data integration platform.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of Informatica PowerCenter or IICS ETL development experience.
- 8+ years of data integration experience using Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, and PDF data sources.
- 8+ years of experience writing complex and optimized Snowflake SQL scripts.
- 8+ years of experience in Data Warehousing, Analytics, or Performance Management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with technical documentation, Visio, Erwin, MS Office, and MS Project.
- Experience delivering enterprise software solutions across multiple business units.
- Strong software development and coding best practices experience.
