Job
Summary
We are
seeking a highly experienced Systems Analyst / Databricks Administrator
to manage, configure, and support an enterprise Databricks platform in a cloud
environment (AWS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring
platform stability, performance, security, and governance while supporting data
engineering, analytics, and AI/ML workloads.
Key
Responsibilities
- Administer and manage Databricks
workspaces in AWS cloud environments
- Configure and maintain clusters, job
scheduling, and workspace settings
- Manage user access, roles, and
permissions using IAM, SCIM, and RBAC
- Monitor platform performance,
availability, and health, and troubleshoot issues
- Implement and enforce cluster policies
and governance standards
- Integrate Databricks with cloud storage
systems (e.g., AWS S3)
- Support data engineers, analysts, and
data scientists with platform usage
- Ensure data security, encryption, and
compliance standards are maintained
- Automate deployments and workflows using DevOps
tools (Terraform, CI/CD, scripting)
Required
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in IT, with strong
focus on Databricks administration
- Hands-on experience with Databricks in
AWS cloud environments
- Strong knowledge of Apache Spark
(performance tuning & troubleshooting)
- Experience with cluster configuration,
job orchestration, and workspace management
- Expertise in access control (IAM, RBAC,
SCIM)
- Experience integrating Databricks with cloud
storage (e.g., S3)
- Strong understanding of data security,
governance, and compliance
- Experience with monitoring tools and
platform optimization
- Proficiency in DevOps tools (Terraform,
CI/CD pipelines, scripting)
Preferred
Qualifications
- Experience with Databricks Unity Catalog
- Knowledge of data lake / lakehouse
architectures
- Experience supporting AI/ML workloads
(MLflow)
- Understanding of cost optimization
strategies in Databricks
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, or Scala
- Experience working in enterprise or
government environments
