Job Summary
The Department of Information Resources (DIR) is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support business and technology initiatives by analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and facilitating collaboration between business stakeholders and IT teams.
The Business Analyst will play a key role in evaluating business systems, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and supporting the development and implementation of technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
•
Analyze business systems, workflows, and user requirements to support
technology initiatives
• Work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to gather and document
functional and technical requirements
• Translate business needs into detailed system requirements, specifications,
and user stories
• Perform business process analysis and recommend improvements through
technology solutions
• Conduct data analysis to support business decisions and identify trends or
issues in raw data
• Support software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities including
requirements analysis, design reviews, and testing
• Participate in system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure
solutions meet business requirements
• Develop solution options and conduct cost-benefit analysis, ROI analysis, and
risk assessments
• Serve as liaison between business teams and technical teams including
architecture, development, and support teams
• Prepare documentation including business requirements, functional
specifications, and workflow diagrams
Required Qualifications
•
8+ years of Business Analyst experience
• Extensive experience analyzing business systems and user requirements
• Strong understanding of Business Analysis practices and methodologies
• Experience working within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Experience supporting system testing and UAT
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience serving as liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams
Preferred Qualifications
•
Experience implementing Case Management Systems
• Experience using Jira for project tracking and management
• Experience performing data analysis and interpreting raw data
