Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AI Engineer with expertise in AI-enabled software engineering and modern code-generation platforms to support digital transformation initiatives for a leading retail organization. The ideal candidate will leverage AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and similar coding agents to accelerate software delivery, improve engineering productivity, and drive innovation across customer-facing and enterprise digital platforms.
This role requires a strong software engineering background combined with hands-on experience implementing AI-assisted development workflows, automation solutions, and developer productivity enhancements in cloud-native environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications, APIs, integrations, and digital platforms.
Utilize AI-powered coding tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, and similar platforms to improve software development efficiency and code quality.
Build and operationalize AI-enabled engineering workflows, reusable agents, and automation capabilities.
Partner with product, engineering, architecture, DevOps, and business teams to deliver high-impact digital solutions.
Identify opportunities to optimize SDLC processes through AI-assisted coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and deployment.
Mentor engineering teams on AI-driven software development best practices and emerging technologies.
Drive engineering excellence through scalable, maintainable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
Support cloud-native application development and modern DevOps practices.
Contribute to the adoption of Generative AI, prompt engineering, LLM-based workflows, and agentic development approaches.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, or digital engineering.
1–2+ years of hands-on experience using AI-assisted coding tools and development agents.
Strong understanding of modern software development practices, APIs, cloud platforms, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience working across multiple programming languages and technology stacks.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Experience delivering solutions in customer-facing or enterprise environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, OpenAI Codex, or similar AI coding platforms.
Experience building AI agents, developer copilots, workflow automation solutions, or agentic systems.
Knowledge of LLM orchestration frameworks and Generative AI technologies.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Retail industry experience supporting eCommerce, omnichannel, customer engagement, loyalty, merchandising, or store systems.
Prior consulting or client-facing delivery experience.
Experience driving enterprise adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices.
