Centre for IT in Building Science at International Institute of Information technology is looking for scientists, engineers, technicians and administrative assistant, to be a part of Indo-US project named Centre for Building Energy Research and Development. In this project IIIT Hyderabad and several other institutes, universities and industries in India and US are working on state of art building energy research. The role of IIIT-H is to participate and lead in research in Simulation and Modelling, Controls and Communication, Cool Roofs and Advanced lighting. Post : Scientist B

Qualifications :     M. Tech. 1st class or equivalent in the Computer Science

OR

B.Tech. 1st Class or equivalent in computer Science with 2 years of experience

Roles :                    To lead the research activities in the area of energy simulation and modelling and would be responsible for half yearly reporting for the project. Must be experienced in programing and scripting languages such as C, C++, Java, Perl, Ruby, Python. Experience in parallel and distributed computing, mobile platforms (such as Android, iOS, Windows Mobile) would be an added advantage.

Remuneration :     32,000 per month + 20% HRA

OR

B.Tech 1st Class or equivalent in Physics/Civil with 2 years’ experience

Roles :                    To lead the research activities in the areas of cool roofs and would be responsible for half yearly reporting of the project. Should have very good understanding of Building Physics and should be experienced in Energy simulation software such as EnergyPlus, eQUEST. Should have hands on experience in installing data-loggers and various sensors for building monitoring. The job would require to onsite locations for installation and monitoring.

Remuneration :     32,000 per month + 20% HRA

Roles :                    To lead the research activities in the areas of Advanced lighting and would be responsible for half yearly reporting of the project. Should have very good understanding of lighting system used in a building and should have a clear understanding of the state of lighting systems.

Remuneration :     32,000 per month + 20% HRA

Qualifications :      B.Tech./B.E./AMIE or equivalent in Electronics and Communications Engineering with 5 years of experience

OR

Technical Diploma (3 years duration)/ Graduate Degree in electronics with 10 years relevant work experience.

Roles :                    To assist in research activities in the area of controls and communication. Should have hands on experience on working with various building automation communication protocols like BACNet, Lontalk etc. Should be able to configure data-loggers (such as from National Instruments, Campbell Scientific, and Agilent). Experience of hardware design, deployment and testing is essential.

Remuneration :      35,000 per month + 20% HRA

Qualifications :      B.Tech./B.E./AMIE and equivalent in Mechanical Engineering with 3 years of experience

OR

Technical Diploma (3 years duration)/ Graduate Degree in Mechanical with 8 years relevant work experience

Roles :                    To assist in research activities in the area of controls and communication. Must be experienced in designing and commissioning HVAC system for commercial spaces and should have very good understanding of thermodynamics. Should be experienced in energy modelling tools such as eQUEST, EnergyPlus and should have knowledge of controls.

Remuneration :     30,000 per month + 20% HRA

Qualifications :      Diploma (3 years duration)/Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering

ITI (2 years duration) in Mechanical with 4 years relevant work experience

Roles :                    To assist in research activities in the area of controls and communication. Must be experienced in handling various components in a HVAC system. Should be able to assist in the fabrication of various mechanical components to be used in the research activities.

OR

ITI (2 years duration) in Electronics with 4 years relevant work experience

Roles :                   To assist in research activities in the areas of cool roofs and controls and communications. Should be able to carry-out onsite installation of cool roofs. Should be able to understand and configure data-loggers. Would involve considerable travel to on-site locations for installation purpose.

Remuneration :     15,400 per month + 20% HRA

 

Post : Project Admin Assistant

Qualifications :     Graduate degree with 2 years of work experience as Sr. Assistant or equivalent post/scale

Roles :                    To maintain the accounts and inventory for the entire project. Should we fluent in English (both written and spoken). Would be responsible for HR, purchases, and accounts for the project.

Remuneration :     23,500 per month + 20% HRA
