Overview
Spectral Sustainability Group (SSG) provides consulting services at
all scales of the built environment and at every stage of the building
life cycle based upon the principles and goals of sustainability. The
SSG service areas reflect the interconnected systems-based nature of
sustainability and include LEED & GRIHA Consulting, Building
Performance Simulation, and Strategic Sustainability Consulting. This

Our Building Performance Simulation staff guide projects toward the
highest performance outcomes while staying within budgetary and
scheduling constraints. We achieve this by providing input and
feedback to the design team from the concept stage through to
construction. Our involvement facilitates a holistic systems
perspective of the building and supports an integrated approach to
design. Working closely with our clients, our dedicated professionals
help to establish and understand the specific needs of each project.

Job Description & Responsibilities:
• We have an opening in our Corporate office at Noida for an Energy
Simulation Specialist to play a technical role in advancing the
practice of Building Performance Simulation. The candidate will
provide simulation services related to buildings and community energy
systems, for our clients and train the staff. The qualified candidate
will have considerable background in energy-efficient system design
and simulation, daylighting, LEED rating systems, energy analysis
studies, and energy management & incentive programs. A sound knowledge
of HVAC and lighting systems, building control systems, energy
conservation measures, greenhouse gas emission, building physics, and
simulation programs is also expected. Excellent written and verbal
communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate technical
concepts to even non-technical individuals. Ability to provide
excellent client service and a commitment to sustainable design are
essential for this position.
Key responsibilities include:
• Support projects through services including energy, daylight,
natural ventilation and thermal modeling, LEED documentation,
researching sustainable building design strategies, and writing
reports.
• Provide building performance modeling that analyzes energy and
thermal performance of new and existing commercial, institutional,
residential buildings.
• Work with clients and design teams in an integrated design approach
to identify appropriate design strategies geared towards improving
energy performance, indoor air quality, and thermal comfort;
• Prepare building analysis reports to present results of daylight,
energy and thermal modeling, greenhouse gas emissions analysis, and
research findings; prepare and deliver presentations to clients and/or
design teams
• Develop and improve working processes and methodologies for
elevating building simulation services offered by SSG
• Quality Assurance of all documents and reports being prepared by
simulation team
• Prepare LEED documentation associated with energy modeling; assist
with coordination of other LEED documentation as necessary
• Provide Technical assistance and guidance to the simulation team by
holding internal workshops and trainings

• Minimum 5 years directly related experience in energy-efficient
system design and simulation; those individuals with more extensive
experience in these areas are preferred
• Experience with thermal comfort analysis, CFD (for natural
ventilation and displacement ventilation), daylight simulation, life-
cycle cost analysis, and/or existing building auditing preferred
• Experience with the following simulation software: IES <VE>, eQUEST,
TRNSYS, DOE-2, EnergyPlus, Design Builder, RETScreen, HAP, TRACE
• Experience integrating BIM tools such as Revit with simulation tools
such as IES
• Strong professional verbal and written communication skills -ability
to communicate in a timely manner appropriate with clients and
building design team members
• Understanding of LEED building rating systems required; LEED AP with
specialization preferred
• Computer skills including: spreadsheets, databases and experience
with simulation programs and software tools for statistical analysis
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel,
PowerPoint)
