Hello James,
Thank you for contacting our Bolton Energy Committee. We are a fairly young committee in the town and are always eager to learn more about the available technologies in alternative renewable energy solutions. We currently have a few projects in the works:
1) In the process of setting up an RFP for a PV array installation for our high school building.
2) Researching a solar hot water system for our new public safety center that is still under construction.
3) Running a 6-month trial period with a local low-cost electric company, Easy Energy.
I would like to discuss with the rest of the committee first and hopefully send you a formal invitation for a presentation to the group. Meanwhile, you are more than welcome to join us on our monthly meetings which is open to the public. We meet every 3rd Wednesday of the Month from 7pm to 8pm at the Bolton Town Hall.
Thank you for your time,
Chinloo Lama
Co-Chair of the Bolton Energy Committee

Ms. Chinloo Lama,
My name is James Hasselbeck, Solar Product Manager for Waterline Alternative Energies in Seabrook, NH. I am e-mailing regarding your involvement in Bolton's Alternative Energy Committee. Waterline is the Seacoast’s leading Alternative Energy Solution provider and we have successfully completed many municipal projects throughout Massachusetts for over 20 years. We find it very exciting to see many local towns and cities forming groups and committees to discuss integrating Renewable Energy solutions into local homes, businesses and public buildings.
As I’m sure you know, there is a lot of press out there about “Being Green” and it is often extremely difficult to separate the truth from the hype. As fully licensed and certified installers of Solar, Wind and Hydroelectric energy solutions, we are well aware of the many factors that must be taken into account when exploring the viability of a Renewables project. Accordingly, education is a key part of our business and we are always looking for opportunities to have an open and honest dialog with the public on the pros and cons of Renewable energy.
I would be very interested in attending a future meeting of your committee to learn a bit more about Bolton and what types of projects you are currently exploring. Also, I would be happy to give a brief overview of Wind, Solar and Hydroelectric power; how they work, siting considerations, financial costs, relevant rebate programs as well as answer any questions you or other committee members may have.
I strongly believe that Renewable Energy makes sense from an environmental, economic and educational perspective, and always look forward to an opportunity to have discussions with the public to provide insight from a “boots on the roof” perspective. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly if I can provide any additional information or answer any questions, and I look forward to speaking with you in the future.
Best Regards,
Proud member of the American Wind Energy Association and New England Clean Energy Council
