I just updated this google group page on our mission statement with
the revised version of Ted's proposal. Please take a look at it. You

Just want to note that I kept what we had from 2008-2009 up as
reference but grayed it out. The 2010 version is the one that Ted
proposed with rewording suggestions from the group during our December
meeting. Please continue to discuss this on this page so that we can
iron out the wording and can post this on our town site. Thanks!

The Bolton Energy Committee Mission is to explore ways to reduce the
cost of all fuels to the town and to implement equipment or operating
changes that are proven to be cost effective.

Goals:
- Save town money on energy costs
- Take advantage of federal, state and other grants and funding to
reduce the town's energy costs.
- Document Building Operating procedures for Town Buildings to reduce
energy consumption.
- Seek a 20% reduction in energy use in municipal buildings by 2010.

Ok. I'm still learning how to use this service. I meant to reply to
this message, but started a new discussion. My reply is that I like
what Margaret has drafted.

All, Am Ok with Margaret's mission statement. Attempted to reply on the
website and things did not look right, so reverted to this email. One small
change would make in the first sentence is to ...reduce the quantity used
and the cost of all fuels.... (added "reduce the quantity used") We want
to reduce the spend which is the quantity times the unit cost of the fuel...
